2011 Nelson Algren Short Story Award Submission guidelines
Stories must be fictional, unpublished, under 10,000 words and received by midnight (Central time) Feb. 15, 2011.

The Issue 9 submission period is now open. From now through noon Pacific time, February 16, 2011, you may submit via our Submission Manager or via snail mail. All submissions sent via snail mail must be postmarked by February 16, 2011.

Your poem about Nantucket Island or about life on Nantucket Island could be on the cover of The Nantucket Directory
The winning poet will receive $250 and have his or her work published in the print and online editions of the 2011-2012 Nantucket Directory.
Submit up to three unpublished poems written in English and about any aspect of Nantucket Island or life on Nantucket.
Poems must be submitted with a signed entry form listing the author’s name, address, email address, and phone number. Names should not be on the poems themselves (but remember to title the poems and to write the titles on the entry form). Submissions will not be returned. No entry fee is required.
Submissions must be received no later than March 1, 2011. The winner will be notified no later than March 20, 2011. All poems submitted to the contest will be considered for publication in Yesterday’s Island, with author’s permission.
